Once again, from December 4th to 6th, the historical Labia cinema will host the 23rd edition of the Italian Film Focus, a film festival dedicated to the best new movies released in Italian theaters.
The eight films featured in this edition come from the most important and recent international film festivals and will be introduced by prestigious guests.
The festival will open with the docufiction GIANNI VERSACE, THE EMPEROR OF DREAMS by Mimmo Calopresti, presented by the director and producer Mariella Li Sacchi, in its exclusive premiere outside of Italy.
Following in the lineup are the film ANNA by Sicilian director Amenta; THE BEST DAYS the latest work of the tireless and always insightful Liliana Cavani; KIDNAPPED by the great director Marco Bellocchio; the comedy THE ORDER OF TIME by Massimiliano and Edoardo Bruno; THE CHIMERA, the fourth film by another accomplished director, Alice Rohrwacher, presented and awarded at the last Cannes Film Festival; DISCO BOY, the debut film by Giacomo Abbruzzese.
Closing the festival is the poignant portrayal of a female character, the protagonist of THERE IS STILL TOMORROW by Paola Cortellesi, presented by the two screenwriters, Giulia Calenda and Furio Andreotti.
