MAECI offers scholarships for the 2025–2026 academic year to foreign students and Italian citizens residing abroad (IRE), with the aim of promoting cooperation in the cultural, scientific, and technological fields, enhancing the global presence of Italy’s economic system, and spreading knowledge of the Italian language and culture (Ref. Law 288/55 and subsequent amendments).
The scholarship covers only the attendance of courses held within Italian territory.

Applicants must submit their applications exclusively through the “Study in Italy” portal: https://studyinitaly.esteri.it
Online applications must be submitted no later than 14:00 (Italian time) on May 16, 2025. Interested students are strongly advised to follow the instructions and consult the FAQs available on the platform in both Italian and English.
Note: In the event of a particularly high number of applications, the Commission will conduct a pre-selection and invite only shortlisted candidates for an interview. Failure to receive an interview invitation in the days immediately following the application deadline indicates that the candidate did not pass the pre-selection.
