Travel restrictions from South Africa to Italy lifted with immediate effect

We are pleased to inform you that the provisions of the Ordinance of the Ministry of Health of November 26, 2021 are repealed with immediate effect. The journey from South Africa to Italy therefore are once again allowed for reasons of:

 - Work/Business

 - Health

 - Study

 - Absolute urgency

Return to own residence

The return / entry into Italy is in any case allowed to Italian citizens and family members.

Upon returning to Italy it is necessary:

-       fill in the Passenger Locator Form - Digital Tracking Form - before entering Italy. The form replaces the self-declaration made to the carrier

-       undergo a PCR test carried out within 72 hours before entering Italy with a negative result;

-       immediately communicate entry into Italy to the Prevention Department of the competent local health authority.

-       reach your final destination in Italy only by private vehicle

-       undergo self isolation at the address indicated on the passenger tracking form for 10 days

-       undergo at the end of the 10-day self isolation in an additional PCR or antigenic test.
