MAECI offers scholarships for the 2025\u20132026 academic year to foreign students and Italian citizens residing abroad (IRE), with the aim of promoting cooperation in the cultural, scientific, and technological fields, enhancing the global presence of Italy\u2019s economic system, and spreading knowledge of the Italian language and culture (Ref. Law 288\/55 and subsequent amendments).<\/p>\n

The scholarship covers only the attendance of courses held within Italian territory.<\/p>\n

The call for applications is available in Italian<\/a> and English<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The list of eligible countries, including South Africa, can be found at: https:\/\/studyinitaly.esteri.it\/ListaBandi<\/a><\/p>\n

Applicants must submit their applications exclusively through the \u201cStudy in Italy\u201d portal: https:\/\/studyinitaly.esteri.it<\/a><\/p>\n

Online applications must be submitted no later than 14:00 (Italian time) on May 16, 2025<\/strong>. Interested students are strongly advised to follow the instructions and consult the FAQs available on the platform in both Italian and English.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> In the event of a particularly high number of applications, the Commission will conduct a pre-selection and invite only shortlisted candidates for an interview. Failure to receive an interview invitation in the days immediately following the application deadline indicates that the candidate did not pass the pre-selection.<\/p>\n
