{"id":1572,"date":"2014-04-29T10:24:54","date_gmt":"2014-04-29T08:24:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/conscapetown.esteri.it\/news\/dal_consolato\/2014\/04\/passaporti-e-procure-appuntamenti-2\/"},"modified":"2014-04-29T10:24:54","modified_gmt":"2014-04-29T08:24:54","slug":"passaporti-e-procure-appuntamenti-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/conscapetown.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dal_consolato\/2014\/04\/passaporti-e-procure-appuntamenti-2\/","title":{"rendered":"New procedure for PASSPORT APPLICATIONS and POWER OF ATTORNEY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><P>NOTICE TO ITALIAN CITIZENS: <BR><BR>New procedure for:<\/P><UL><br \/>\n<LI>Passport application<br \/>\n<LI>Power of Attorney documents<\/LI><\/UL><br \/>\n<P>Italian citizens registered with \u201cAIRE\u201d at this Consulate are hereby informed that, with effect\u00a0 from 12 May 2014, passport applications and power of attorney documents will only be handled via appointment.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>For passport issuance:<\/P><br \/>\n<OL><br \/>\n<LI>The applicant must <STRONG>download the <\/STRONG><A href=\"\/resource\/2014\/04\/63635_f_cons57domanda_passaporto.pdf\"><STRONG>passport application form<\/STRONG><\/A>, complete it accurately in all fields and sign it;<BR><br \/>\n<LI>If the applicant has minor children he\/she must <STRONG>download the <\/STRONG><STRONG><A href=\"\/resource\/2014\/05\/63727_f_cons57consminor.pdf\">consent form<\/A><\/STRONG> which has to be completed and signed by the other parent of the minor child;<BR>Please be reminded that married of widowed women must complete and sign the form using their maiden surname only;<BR><br \/>\n<LI>The applicant\u00a0 must submit the application form (with the consent form if necessary) via e-mail to <A href=\"mailto:passaporti.capetown@esteri.it\"><STRONG>passaporti.capetown@esteri.it<\/STRONG><\/A> or via fax 021 4240146;<BR><br \/>\n<LI>The Passport office will contact the applicant via e-mail, or telephonically, within one working week after having received the application to set up an <STRONG>appointment<\/STRONG> at the Consulate;<BR><br \/>\n<LI>Once the above notification has been received the applicant must confirm the appointment and effect <STRONG>payment<\/STRONG>\u00a0 &#8211; preferably via EFT &#8211; or the prescribed amount may be paid in cash at the time of the appointment.\u00a0 If payment is effected via EFT proof of payment must be submitted on the day of the appointment.<\/LI><\/OL><br \/>\n<P>For Power of Attorney documents:<BR>1.\u00a0The applicant must request an appointment preferably\u00a0via e-mail <A href=\"mailto:capetown.notarile@esteri.it\"><STRONG>capetown.notarile@esteri.it<\/STRONG><\/A>, or telephonically 021 4873907.<BR><\/P><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"NOTICE TO ITALIAN CITIZENS: New procedure for: Passport application Power of Attorney documents Italian citizens registered with \u201cAIRE\u201d at this Consulate are hereby informed that, with effect\u00a0 from 12 May 2014, passport applications and power of attorney documents will only be handled via appointment.
