TRAVEL UPDATES (4)

Under the new Decree of the Italian Ministry of Health, in order to travel from South Africa to Italy it is now mandatory to submit a COVID-19 test (PCR or antigenic) with a negative result obtained within 48 hours prior to entry into the Italian territory. Self-isolation will continue to be mandatory, but will now apply for 10 days.

As for the entry into South Africa, travellers in possession of a Covid-19 type "PCR" test with a negative result and within 72 hours before departure, are admitted to South Africa - whatever the country of origin. The test must have been conducted by a licensed doctor / laboratory and signed by the person in charge. Travelers who are unable to produce suitable certification will be subjected to a quarantine period at their own expense.
