Citizens who intend to travel to South Africa are invited to constantly consult the site, where any updates will be promptly communicated.
Passengers arriving at Cape Town International Airport will be subjected to temperature checks and, only in the case of ascertained symptoms, transferred to specific hospital structures and subjected to further health checks. Yellow fever certification is NOT required from passengers from Italy.
In the event of symptoms occurring while staying in South Africa, citizens are encouraged to contact the toll-free number of the National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCID), 0027 (0) 800 029 999 or 0027 (0) 82 883 9920, before going to the hospital or medical facilities.
